Rowan Goeller (Director)
Rowan has over 25 years’ experience in the South African industrial market. He has worked as an equity analyst at Deutsche Bank and Macquarie, in investor relations at Mittal South Africa and Barloworld, and in the investments and concessions business at Group Five. In 2019, Rowan was Head of Equity Research at Mazi Macquarie Securities.
Rowan has deep expertise across the diversified industrials, construction, basic materials and packaging sectors in South Africa. He has been rated top analyst in the Financial Mail Analyst Awards for Construction, Diversified Industrial, and Small- and Mid-Cap Financial and Industrial sectors. Rowan holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and is a CFA charter holder.
Sean Ungerer (Director)
Before joining Chronux Research in 2020, Sean served as the Head of Research at Arqaam Capital in South Africa, where he successfully led and managed a team of analysts. His strategic vision and managerial acumen contributed to the team’s success in delivering top research rankings. Prior to Arqaam Capital, Sean was a resource analyst with Avior Capital Markets.
He has held top ratings across various sectors, including Forestry and Paper, Oil & Gas and Chemicals, Healthcare, and Industrial Metals. Sean holds a CA (SA) and CFA.
Adrian Jardine
Adrian has over a decade’s experience in finance and investment. He began his career in corporate finance at Merrill Lynch before moving into equity research, where he covered the JSE-listed property sector at Avior Capital Markets, RMB Morgan Stanley and Renaissance Capital. He was top-rated in the Real Estate sector in the Financial Mail survey in 2015 and 2016. Adrian holds a B.Com (Hons) and an M.Com in Finance from Wits University and is based in Johannesburg.
Tshepo Mojanaga
Tshepo joined Chronux Research in February 2025 as an Associate Analyst under Sean Ungerer as part of the Coronation Catapult Programme. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance and an Honours degree in Economic Analysis of Financial Markets from the University of Cape Town. Previously a Risk and Performance Analyst, he brings strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of finance and economics.
Tokollo Morake
Tokollo joined Chronux Research in 2026 and has completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Science, specialising in Quantitative Finance, at the University of Cape Town.

Karabo Langa
Karabo joined Chronux Research as an Associate Research Analyst through the Coronation Catapult Programme, before moving into an Equity Analyst role at OysterCatcher Investments in 2025. He has passed Level I of the CFA Program and holds a BCom in Investments and Securities from the University of Pretoria, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Financial Markets from the University of Johannesburg.
Koena Matlou
Koena joined Chronux Research as an Associate Research Analyst through the Coronation Catapult Programme in 2024 and holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance and Investments from the University of the Witwatersrand.
